Terry Allen — is a seasoned leader in the analytical instrumentation industry, bringing over two decades of expertise to his role as CEO of TA Scientific Inc. With a strong foundation in NIR (Near-Infrared) and NIT (Near-Infrared Transmission) technologies, Terry has built a career at the forefront of grain analysis innovation.
He spent ten years with Foss Analytical, where he held key roles including Territory Manager, Sales Manager, and Key Account Manager, driving sales and strategic growth in advanced grain analysis technologies. Following this, he dedicated fifteen years to Perten Instruments (now part of PerkinElmer), where he served as Sales Manager, Vice President of Business Development, and ultimately General Manager for North America.
In 2019, Terry founded TA Scientific Inc., establishing it as the exclusive North American distributor of the Cgrain instrument of CGrain AB of Sweden—an advanced grain analysis system. Under his leadership, the company has achieved significant milestones, including securing FGIS approval for the official grading of rice in California using the Cgrain system, and initiating a Research Agreement with the USDA to expand grading applications to other grains such as wheat.
Terry’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to advancing precision agriculture through innovative instrumentation, delivering science-backed solutions to improve grain quality assessment across the supply chain.
