Alastair Pringle is the principal consultant at Pringle-Scott LLC, which consults for the food and beverage industry. He earned microbiology undergraduate and graduate degrees in England. Alastair worked at Anheuser-Busch for 25 years where, as a Senior Director, he was responsible for research in all areas of brewing science. He subsequently worked for 15 years as an Assistant Professor at Maryville University, St Louis where he taught microbiology, genetics, and biotechnology. Alastair has been a member of the editorial boards of the MBAA TQ, J. ASBC, and the J. Inst. Brew., as well as a member of the CIBD Board of Examiners. He is currently secretary for the International Section of the CIBD and a member of the BA’s Quality subcommittee.
