Akane Yamamoto, MD

Akane Yamamoto is a researcher of brewing technology at Asahi breweries, Ltd.. She earned a master’s degree from the Faculty of Agriculture at Kyoto University, Japan in 2017. That same year, she joined Asahi Breweries, Ltd.. After learning the fundamentals of beer brewing at the Kanagawa Factory Brewing Department, she transferred to the Research Laboratories for Alcohol Beverages. There, she focused on developing new brewing techniques, with a particular emphasis on malt, enzymes, hops, and other beer ingredients.
